Beginning in March 2026, the Redding VE Team will go paperless and start using EXAMTOOLS.ORG. Exam Tools is a Computer-Based Testing (CBT) site that speeds up the testing and submission process and offers training sites that have proven to be very successful for test preparation. What We Do
What We Do
The Redding ARRL Volunteer Examiner (VE) Team's primary objective is to provide amateur radio license testing for those who would like to obtain their first amateur radio license, as well as for those already licensed amateur radio operators who desire to upgrade to a higher-class license.
We provide amateur radio license exams every other month, and when requested, we can provide amateur radio license exams at a time and place that is mutually convenient for your group and for our Volunteer Examiners.
